Partey has emerged as the club’s top summer target, with the Atletico Madrid midfielder keen on a move to the Emirates. Arsenal are confident they will wrap up a deal for the 27-year-old and Arteta views him as a key arrival. Head of international recruitment Francis Cagigao, who brought in Gabriel Martinelli, was the man who initially identified Partey as a key signing, according to the Daily Mail, and the move has now been approved by both Arteta and Edu.AdvertisementAdvertisementADVERTISEMENTFinancing the deal may prove difficult, however.
