first_imgA 51-year-old Florida man has been arrested after he allegedly impregnated a teen in his custody. The St. Lucie County Sheriff’s Office reported that Norman Andres Sosa was arrested after an investigation that began in July found that he sexually abused the teen from when she was 13-years-old until recently when she and her family were told she was pregnant.According to the report, the teen was rushed to a hospital after becoming ill with nausea and vomiting. Doctors then informed the girl and her mother that she was between four and six weeks pregnant. Both the teen and her mother denied that the girl could be pregnant, however, the teen eventually confessed that she had been sexually abused repeatedly by Sosa for about two years. The teen told authorities that the abuse generally occurred when her mother left for work and that Sosa had abused her as recently as the day before her emergency room visit. The teen also told authorities that she did not report the abuse because Sosa told her that if she told anyone he would leave and her family would have nothing.Sosa was arrested on a charge of sexual battery by a custodian on a victim between the ages of 12-18. He remains at the St. Lucie County Jail.last_img
