Bumrah and Bhuvneshwar back for last 3 ODIs vs West Indies, Shami left out

first_imgJasprit Bumrah and Bhuvneshwar Kumar have been recalled for the last three ODIs against West Indies while Mohammed Shami has been left out. Bumrah and Bhuvneshwar, India’s first-choice pacers in limited-overs cricket, were rested for the first two matches in Guwahati and Vizag.India conceded totals in excess of 300 in both games – 322 in Guwahati and 321 in Vizag. Bumrah and Bhuvneshwar will add much needed teeth to the Indian attack after West Indies’ batsmen showed they were no pushovers even without their big guns.Shami conceded 81 runs off his 10 overs in the first match and went for 59 off his 10 in the second. Umesh Yadav has been expensive as well while Khaeel Ahmed was left out of the second match as Kuldeep Yadav returned. However, Khaleel has retained his place in the side.Shardul Thakur, who was replaced in the squad by Umesh for the first two ODIs following an injury, continued to miss out.There were no other changes to the squad.India and West Indies will face off in Pune in the third ODI on October 27 before travelling to Mumbai for the fourth ODI on October 29.
