Officers conducted a largedoor to door grid search on foot looking for anyone with further information or needing to file a missing person report. A larger search was completed via vehicle. Detectives and Officers interviewed all witnesses and residents in the area. K-9 units and drones were used in the search area. A Child is Missing was activated. Currently, no one has contacted the Elkhart Police Department to report their child as missing.Anyone with any information regarding this incident, needs to contact the Elkhart PoliceDepartment at 574-295-7070 immediately. Further information regarding this incident will be release as it is obtained. We have not received any calls of a missing child at this time. ORIGINAL STORY: The Elkhart Police are investigating a possible child abduction near Moyer Avenue and Ren Street.Shortly after 1:30 p.m. a young girl reported that a young white male between the ages of 2 and 6 was abducted by a suspect in a white van with scratches and tinted windows on the back and sides.The missing boy was said to be wearing a white hoodie with red and blue on it. More information will be released when it becomes available, but the police said they had not received any reports about a missing child as of 6:30 Monday evening.Officers conducted a large door to door search, including vehicles, K-9 units and drones and were unable to find any sign of a missing child. They also were unable to find anyone who was missing a child.Anyone with any information regarding this incident, needs to contact the Elkhart Police Department at 574-295-7070 immediately. CRIME ALERT: WOMAN LEFT DEVASTATED AS HOME BURGLED WHILE ON HOLIDAYS

first_imgCRIME ALERT: Homeowners are being warned to be vigilant after a home was broken into by callous thieves who completely ransacked the property. Donegal Daily has been contacted by a member of the family who was a victim of this appalling crime to issue an appeal to other homeowners to be extremely vigilant.The family hope an appeal will avoid the same thing happening to anyone else. The woman whose property was robbed – is currently on holiday with her son.She received notification this morning that her family home had been gutted by burglars.A laptop, PlayStation 3, ornaments, jewellery and some other very personal belongings were taken from the home.The woman has been left devastated by the crime and doesn’t return from her holidays until tomorrow. The incident took place in the Glencar Area in Letterkenny (College Park)The family member told Donegal Daily, “It’s disgusting families can’t even go on holiday safely.“My mother had saved up for ages to go away on holiday with my younger brother and it has been absolutely ruined now.“They’ve trashed the house as well, it’s clearly a really nasty bunch of people.Gardaí have already started to investigate the incident.
